Brandon Waelti looks to continue two winning streaks, when the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association kick’s off their upcoming 73rd year of sanctioning midget auto racing. The series opens Saturday Night May 2 at Charter Raceway in a doubleheader with the IRA Bumper to Bumper Outlaw Sprint Car Series. The event has a raindate the following day.For the second straight season Waelti hopes to capture the season opening event. Last season Waelti won the season opener at the Amsoil Sandbox Arena at Cedar Lake Speedway New Richmond, Wis., on his way to finishing third in series points.
