Autograss is a noncontact sport that takes place on an oval 440 yard track on a natural soil surface. Due to the close nature of the racing, thrills and spills are never far away.Racing takes place in the various classes with up to 10 cars starting on a straight line grid and racing over short 48 lap races. This results in the major meetings, most of which are staged over 2 days, offering upwards of 200 races. All classes normally race ough qualifying heats and finals and, if time permits, open races where different classes race against each other.The social side of the sport is a very ge factor in its appeal and in the evening the aroma of barbeque cooking is hard to escape from as people from all over the country meet up. Our lub also has a large Beer Tent at our 3day event and around 500 cars, not only local but from around the country.
