The Cincinnati Sports Car Club formed in 1963 for the purpose of conducting Autocross events maybe en called gymkhanas at the time, as well as Road Rallies. The original club put on events at several ifferent sites during the first years of existence. Initial venues included Swifton Commons, Western Woods Mall and Cherry Grove Plaza.DOT Legal race tires were not even thought of when these pioneers started acing around cones. They either used their normal street tires, or were or full tilt racing slicks. Back then racing slicks were Goodyear Blue Streaks, British cars hoods were bonnets, roofs were hoods and trunks ere called boots, or something like that. Other peculiar terms of the day were things like Positive Earth.
